The Role:
 Construct geological maps & cross-sections from well logs and seismic data;
 Construction of 3D static geomodels from geophysical information, well data, and dynamic reservoir data, relevant software skills essential;
 Requires good working knowledge of petrophysics and reservoir engineering disciplines
 Provide input to the identification, justification, planning and review of drilling opportunities;
 Assist in the evaluation of New Venture opportunities;
 Work with other subsurface staff on the construction and maintenance of dynamic reservoir models;
 Work with subsurface and drilling personnel to mature well locations to drill ready status, ensuring the highest quality drilling program is prepared;
 Take an active role in reservoir and management strategy development;
 Present to management and joint venture partners;
 Participate in peer assists and peer reviews and seek input from others to ensure technical high quality is achieved in evaluations.
 Plan and lead projects and lead the supervision of outside contractors;
 Represent the company at technical meetings;
 Act as mentor to more junior team members.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 Demonstrable work experience in geocellular model building, acquired in a variety of North Sea Fields and other geological settings.
 Detailed knowledge of production and development geoscience methods with a proven track record of successful projects.
 Significant work experience with geological software applications, including Petrel.
 UK North Sea experience, some of which would preferably have been gained with an Operator.
 Degree qualified in Petroleum Geoscience.
 Able to demonstrate continuing professional and personal development.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
 Working knowledge of seismic would be beneficial, as the position involves work within a multidisciplinary team.
