The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
The primary objective of this position is to provide document control function and support specifically to the Umbilicals Risers and Flowlines (URF) Group and more generally to the Offshore Division (as required).

Key responsibilities of this position include:
• Manage the document control process, controlling all document interfaces with the URF Package Contractors / Suppliers - responsible for the timely distribution of all document deliverables.
• Report directly to the URF Project Controls Manager with a functional responsibility to the Lead Document Controller Perth.
• Provide guidance on document control processes and procedures for all URF Package Team members.
• Provide training and guidance to Project Document Controllers and other Project personnel in location.
• Liaise with URF Team members to develop effective procedures for document distribution through EDMS.
• Assist in the establishment of processes for review, approval and distribution of information at project level.
• Assist and support the Lead Document Controller Perth and URF Project Control Manager, in system development when required.
• Engage in discussions with key project stakeholders on document control requirements as required.
• Input to the continuous improvement of Project EDMS with the means to securely store, retrieve and view information for Project Team.
• Assign confidentiality levels and govern access and viewing rights for Project EDMS as approved by the URF Project Controls Manager.
• Assist in the recruitment of Document Controllers (as required) and the development of the URF Package document control function.
• Develop URF Package document control function with adequate storage for retaining hard copies as required in compliance with Client procedures for archiving.
• Take the lead in developing final project documentation dossiers in conjunction with URF Package Contractors / Suppliers / Client departments and managing all archiving processes as and when appropriate.
• Supervise any reporting Document Controllers (time management, training, solution provider and mentoring).
• Create and update documentation registers as required by URF project Controls Manager.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience under similar role in a major offshore project.
• Excellent understanding of document control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to work with different disciplines and cultures.
• Enthusiastic with ability to multi-task.
• Computer literate.
