The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Senior Document Controller to join our Clients North West Office on a Contract basis to become part of an Oil & Gas project delivery team.

As part of a long term alliance with a major Oil & Gas client based in Kuwait we are undertaking FEED and detail design to support major revamp and modification projects modernizing the client’s production facilities. Typical projects include gas processing plant, water injection and water treatment facilities, steam injection pilot plant and automation upgrades.
The candidate will be a Senior Document Controller with a proven track record in onshore oil and gas, refinery or petrochem projects and will be able to demonstrate a minimum of 3-4 projects experience of FEED and detail design. Good communication and presentation skills are essential.

Core Responsibilities
The Document Control staff support the projects in the areas of Records Management, Engineering Documents, issuance of client documents, supplier data coordination, turnover and archiving of project records.

Specific Accountabilities
• Receive, log, track, file, monitor and reporting of engineering and supplier drawings and documents in an Electronic Data Management System.
• Process and control engineering documents, drawings and project deliverables in accordance with established guidelines and client specific procedures.
• Expedite the review and approval of engineering deliverables and vendor documentation.
• Plan, manage and record document flow to and from all appropriate parties.
• Maintain an awareness of document handling techniques and be responsible for adherence to the document control procedures.
• Compiling and assembly of Supplier Equipment Data Manuals.
• Monitoring all drawings and documentation requirements as outlined by pre-set schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
• Respond to internal and external drawing and document requests.
• Provide routine quality checks on all outgoing documentation in accordance with established Client guidelines.
• Identification of project trends and changes.
• Effective and timely turnover and archiving of project records.
• Training and supervising project document control staff.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• No formal Qualifications Required.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey information.
• Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and document control software.
• Good working knowledge of document management systems, processes and procedures.
• Experience in a document control role preferably in the same or similar industry, including experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
