The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Responsible for Supervision of a team of Document Controllers ensuring efficient and accurate receipt, registration, distribution, retrieval and filing of all project controlled documentation (revision controlled documentation).

• Sound IT and systems management knowledge.
• High level of understanding of EDMS systems and project requirements in alignment with project execution and handover requirements.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with electronic document control systems.
• Experience in project document control execution requirements on large scale Oil and Gas Projects.
• Experience operating in Fabrication yards.
• Manage the document control process, controlling all document interfaces with the SPS Contractor. Responsible for the timely distribution of all document deliverables.
• Report directly to the SPS Project Controls Manager with a functional responsibility to the Lead Document Controller, Perth.
• Provide guidance on document control processes and procedures for all Project team members at their location.
• Provide training and guidance to project Document Controllers and other Project personnel in location.
• Liaise with SPS Project and Engineering Departments to develop effective procedures for document distribution through EDMS.
• Assist in the establishment of processes for review, approval and distribution of information at project level.
• Assist and support the Lead Document Controller (Perth based) and Project Control Manager, in system development when required.
• Engage in discussions with key project stakeholders on document control requirements as required.
• Input to the continuous improvement of Project EDMS with the means to securely store, retrieve and view information for Project team.
• Assign confidentiality levels and govern access and viewing rights for Project EDMS as approved by the Project Controls Manager.
• Assist in the recruitment of Document Controllers and the development of the SPS Document Control Department.
• Develop a Document Control Department with adequate storage for retaining hard copies as required in compliance with the clients procedures for archiving.
• Take the lead in developing final project documentation dossiers in conjunction with Contractor and other Departments and managing all archiving processes as and when appropriate.
• Provide training and guidance to project Document Controllers and other Project personnel in location.
• Supervise the Document Controllers (time management, training, solution provider and mentoring).

• Develop and maintain close working relationships with peers.
• To provide Document Control assistance to the SPS Project team.
• Ensure unity between the various SPS project document control centres.
