The Company:
Our client is an E&P company with interests in the Southern North Sea, Central North Sea and West of Shetland. With active and planned drilling campaigns in all these areas they have identified a need for 2 Drilling Engineers for their project office in Aberdeen. The Role:
Key Responsibilities are to:

Ensure that wells are planned and engineered to company standards.
Construct scoping costs and AFE's as accurately as possible.
Review equipment specifications and methods and be prepared
To recommend new techniques.
Understand and produce the various documents required by the well construction process in an accurate and tidy manner.
Liaise with the Sub-Surface group.
Ensure that equipment, surveys etc are ordered/conducted in good time.
Ensure that HSE planning and permitting is in place.
Complete thorough risk management processes.
Analyse performance and capture for future reference.
Present material in a professional manner.

Demonstrate strong commitment and leadership skills with respect to HSE.
Ensure that safety is considered as a business objective at all levels of planning operations.
Previous working knowledge of various engineering software packages to assist with well planning (eg WellCat, Compass).
Formalise the required documentation professionally and in compliance with company standards.
Format costs as accurately as possible.
Assimilate offset information in order to optimise performance (Rushmore).
Have a basic Sub-Surface knowledge in order to discuss objectives
Remain flexible with regard to different well types that may be drilled and partner interfaces in which the company have interests.
Work closely with the DCI team and utilise them to assist with
problems.
Demonstrate strong ability to act as a team player.

Planning and organisation skills.
Ability to work under own initiative.
Innovative thinking.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering Degree or equivalent.
Significant onshore Drilling Engineering experience.
Offshore experience would be a significant advantage.
Previous Drilling Engineering experience within North Sea Sector is preferable.
