The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
•Review offset well operations and designs and use information from same to optimise design of planned wells
•Ensure that wells are planned in a cost efficient manner whilst meeting the company and legislative requirements.
•Co-ordinate and compile well programs and detailed drilling procedures in accordance with the company requirements and meeting the project objectives.
•Review well site data to verify that correct data is recorded.
•Ensure performance improvement processes are effectively implemented with opportunities for improvement captured actions assigned and tracked to closure.
•Prepare options on development well designs that satisfy Subsurface BOWD requirements.
•Work with other disciplines to refine development well options.
•Provide engineering support during the operational phase of drilling the wells.
•Ensure problems (major NPT events) are analysed, root cause determined, and actions assigned to prevent reoccurrence.
•Coordinate quarterly (or as required) service quality meetings with all drilling service contractors.
•Act as responsible engineer for contracts where required.
•Ensure well material and service providers comply with specified quality assurance requirements.
•Ensure Well Acceptance Criteria (WACs) are in place to ensure that the construction of the well achieves the required well design and well integrity elements. Ensure WACs are reviewed, tracked and recorded.
•Identify requirements for MoC, complete risk assessments and coordinate approvals.
•Provide coaching and mentoring for Graduate Drilling Engineers.
•Review well site data to verify that complete and accurate data is recorded.
•Complete time and cost performance reporting.
•Compile end of well reports.
•Deputise as required for the Drilling Engineering Supervisor

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Tertiary Engineering Qualification
•Significant years of experience in the Oil and Gas Drilling Industry.
•Extensive experience in coordinating and compiling well programs.
•Suite of drilling engineering capabilities: casing design, drilling fluid selection, hydraulics, bits and drilling assembly selection, directional drilling planning, casing and cementing operations.
•Experience in generating well cost estimates.
•Experience in conducting offset well reviews and preparing options for well designs.
•High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
•Proven teamwork skills
