The Company:
Our client is a leading engineering contractor and project integrator within the power generation industry. They have been at the heart of the power industry for more than 50 years. During that time they have designed, manufactured, installed and commissioned a wide range of equipment and plant for both the power generation and defence markets.

The Role:
An opportunity currently exists for a Senior E,C&I Engineer in the design office in Scotland. The role would suit experienced Engineers with exposure to Power Systems and equipment integration who also possess significant experience within a large scale EPC projects environment.

As the Senior/Lead Engineer the client is looking for significant leadership experience in the successful delivery of large power plant/chemical/petrochemical EPC projects.
Developing high voltage generator/transformer interfaces and electrical distribution system equipment specifications and subsequent delivery through the supply chain.

Exposure to power generation operations and maintenance associated with gas/steam would also be beneficial. Any experience of Carbon Capture and storage is highly sought after for this role.

Key Duties:

Producing /reviewing cost estimates for EC&I scope on multi-discipline projects.
Producing and reviewing the following documents: -
Design Risk assessments
Safety Instrumented System
E C & I design package drawings and schedules
Electrical distribution equipment specification (LV)
Technical Specifications for balance of plant items
Vendor package documentation checking & vender support
Control Philosophy
Control system User requirement specifications
Design Justification reports

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering Degree or equivalent.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Chartered Engineer status.
