The Role:
Senior E/I Commissioning Engineer based at Wellheads DYCE

To carry out the successful commissioning of new/modified facilities in a safe and effective manner, such that the new/modified facilities can be handed over to operation as "fit for service".

Supervisory and Managerial Duties:

Main Duties:
§ Liaising and co-ordinating with other disciplines and project engineers on specific projects to ensure deliverables are produced to meet deadlines.
§ Generation of commissioning procedures for specific projects/modifications.
§ Witnessing factory acceptance tests.
§ On site (onshore and offshore) commissioning of the new/modified facilities.
§ Generation of commissioning completion dossiers.
§ Ensuring the timely handover to the operations of fully commissioned plant.
§ Co-ordinate the carrying out of modifications/repairs arising during commissioning activities.
§ Mentoring young engineers in development of commissioning skills.
§ Develop good working relationships with onshore & offshore operations personnel.
§ Ensuring compliance of all activities with the company's Health, Safety Environmental and Quality policies.
§ Promoting safe behaviour at all times.
§ Role involves face to face Client liaison over complete design period.
§ Coordination of all commissioning activities, management and planning of complete commissioning of projects

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

Education & Qualifications:
Appropriate degree (or equivalent)

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Current Offshore survival/medical certificates.

Significant in similar roles experience; preferably in the offshore oil & gas industry.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of control and instrumentation system design and analysis.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of offshore and onshore control and instrumentation systems and legislative requirements.

Familiar with software used for control and instrumentation system design and analysis.

Ability to focus on customer requirements.

Personal Skills:
Supervisory, leadership and organisational skills.

Good communicator with good interpersonal skills.

Highly motivated & self reliant.

Assertive and confident.

Problem solver, not a problem creator.

Open thinker and innovator.

Willingness to share knowledge and train others.
