The Company:
Our client is one of the largest providers of energy consultancy and engineering support services in the Uk. Within the nuclear sector they have an exceptional reputation for delivering innovative, cost-effective business and engineering solutions to owners, operators, regulators and suppliers to nuclear licensed sites.

The Role:
Our client has an opportunity for a Senior EC&I Designer / Engineer, based out of their Warrington office but working in Chester, working within a small multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects to a nuclear customer.

You will need to be a competent user of AutoCAD who also has or is willing to learn how to perform site surveys.
SC Clearance (MOD or nuclear) is required to perform this role.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Qualified to a minimum of HNC level and preferably have a good relevant engineering degree and be able to demonstrate sound technical experience.
Competent user of recent versions of AutoCAD, a good understanding of drawing standards and good drawing practice.
Able to perform site surveys and understand Electrical / Instrumentation installation.
Prior experience of design and production of drawing schematic diagrams, block cable diagrams, control panel designs, loop diagrams, load/equipment/instrument schedules etc.
Able to work from specifications, survey reports and sketches
Competency in Microsoft Office Word & Excel

Also of benefit:
Nuclear experience ideally with exposure to Nuclear licensed site installations, processes and procedures.
Experience within a highly regulated industry, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Automation plants and Industrial factories.
Conventional / nucleonic instrumentation.
Safety Instrumented Systems, Programmable Logic Contr

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
An appreciation of mechanical systems and the aptitude work within a multi-disciplinary team.
Self motivated with good communication skills.
Willingness and ability to undertake site surveys and inspections and to spend short periods of time on customer and supplier sites at various locations within the UK.
Nuclear industry experience would be an advantage however we are principally looking for first class EC&I Senior Designer / Engineers who have the capacity to learn and develop their skills for the nuclear industry.
