The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
The Downstream Infrastructure Electrical Quality Support Engineer is required to join the Project Team in Phase 4 of the Project and work closely with the project teams and pre-operations team to ensure the transition from turnover / completions / commissioning strategy is understood by all and executed.

Substantial experience in the inspection of critical LNG Process Plant mechanical and electrical equipment for compliance with AS 3000 and AS 60079
Substantial E&I experience in inspection and surveillance activities during procurement, construction installation and commissioning stages of
• Switch rooms and associated equipment .Major electrical/mechanical equipment power systems, hazardous area equipment , Instrumentation and control systems
• Ensure compliance with project specification requirements and Australian Standards in particular EX/Hazardous area certification requirements
• Ensure effective monitor of the vendor to meet supplier and client attendance on witness and hold points.
• Monitor timely mark up of As Built drawings and monitoring of progressive compilation of MDR in line with MDR Index
• Review DCR for ITR as required.
• Verification of assigned ITRs to sub systems
• Assist NCR process with Quality and technical input
• Review completed ITRs for technical content and completeness
• Updating of project databased and registers
• Review MDR for Vendor packages and construction Contractor’s work scopes


Individual will have specific responsibilities to monitor and appraise instrument and electrical work in the specific area designated with applicable discipline to ensure compliance with Project specifications. This may involve temporary assignments for oversight in support of field QA.

Promote safety awareness and safe performance example among project team members and all contractor personnel. This would include participation in IIF training at site and fabrication yards.

Manage Project required QA services and verify the inspection of the project deliverables consistent with approved specifications, criticality assessments, contractual and regulatory obligations.

Promote clear, accurate, timely and consistent communication with other organizations with respect to Global Project Quality expectations and objectives.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidate shall have a University degree in science or equal
10-15 years in oil and gas with auditing to ISO 9001 qualifications
Ability to trouble shoot and do investigative analysis as required.
The ability to train and mentor personnel in auditing and discipline skill set is required -

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience in managing or overseeing the inspection of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Area (EEHA)
EEHA Qualified, in accordance with AS4761
