The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPCM company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
To deliver discipline specific engineering services that meet the clients and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

To initiate, manage and if required supervise engineering assignments on projects that meet project requirements on time and within budget.

To perform discipline specific engineering services such as:

a) ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;
b) prepare project documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules;
c) conduct appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions;
d) prepare and oversee the production of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports;
e) participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures;
f) provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders.

Provide technical support, supervision and advice to the discipline team and project teams; participate in peer reviews; and consult with relevant resources as required.

If responsible for a team:
a) outline project requirements, assign tasks and supervise progress; and
b) ensure the required services meet the clients and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
6. If required, act as the discipline Lead on specific projects.
7. Establish and maintain good working relationships with its clients and other stakeholders.
8. Proactively resolve any discrepancies between the company and its client's requirements.
9. Identify issues and problems; develop appropriate and innovative solutions; and ask for assistance if required.
10. Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in the discipline.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
8 years plus experience in Electrical Engineering
Bachelor of Engineering Degree
Eligible for Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) membership to Engineers Australia
A solid understanding of relevant Australian statutory and regulatory requirements.
A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards.
Site or brown field experience in an Australian operating environment.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with substantial technical and practical experience as well as proven performance at a senior level within the hydrocarbons industry.

FPSO related design experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams would be an advantage.
