The Role:
Execute electrical engineering activities (concept, feed, technical study & detailed design). Checking of calculations and drawings. Working Closely with Lead Engineer to deliver key Electrical projects. Develop strategies within the Team in conjunction with the Lead Engineer for continued improvement.

Main Duties:
Review / Generate Scopes of requirements and Basis of Design.Produce design and equipment specifications / requisitions for modification work to existing offshore platforms, undertake Technical Bid analysis,

Electrical Budget Costing and Control in liaison with Asset Focal Points and Client.

Technical liaison with vendors and suppliers & client technical authority.

Carry out offshore surveys (if required), liaise with Engineers / Designers.

Checking of varied deliverable from the Electrical Team.

Interface with Construction personnel in input to the overall estimate, and resolution of Engineering Queries.

Initial and continuous input to the Project Plan.

Specification of switchgear and supervisory system modification work to existing installations

General Electrical equipment and materials specification and procurement, electrical installation design,

Checking of design drawings and specifications, producing design packages, electrilal narratives for workpacks,

FAT and SAT Witness Testing and final commissioning procedures

Commissioning of Systems Offshore with Handover to operations and final Close-out of Punchlist Items.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related subject.
Candidates with an HNC/HND qualification and necessary experience will also be considered for the position.
Able to work within budgets and to meet project schedules
Current offshore survival,medical and MIST.
Oil and gas industry experience required.
Good understanding of Package Engineering including Air Compressors, Gas Turbines, HV Motors and Drive Systems etc is also a prerequisite.
Understand load flow, fault analysis, protection grading, transient and stability analysis, harmonics and ability to specify, manage and interpret specialist studies when required.
