The Company:
My Client is a specialist Nuclear and Defence Company who employs around 4,500 staff and over 2,000 contractors, whose work covers a vast range of disciplines. They employ scientists, engineers, technicians, crafts-people and safety specialists, as well as business and administrative experts.

The Role:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will deliver electrical engineering solutions to provide diagnostics, gas systems and firing and timing systems for the UK Experimental Equipment scope of work. As a member of the Engineering Team reporting to and supporting the UK Engineering Manager and France based SEM, the successful candidate will also manage technical progress of designs and provide reports on project progress where required.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will be accountable for;
• Generation of appropriate design deliverables
• Contribution to inter-discipline tasks such as document checks and reviews, and inter-discipline support/liaison
• Active liaison with relevant Design Authority specialists to obtain formal and informal support and approvals [involving routine contact with Head of Discipline, E,C & I, within the Facility Design Authority and others such as the E, C & I Legislative Champions]

As a Senior Electrical Engineer your key responsibilities will include;
• Provision of engineering support for the client to supply designs and deliverables for experimental equipment to support Hydrodynamic experiments that will be conducted in France
• Review and comment/approve contractors submissions

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will have:
- Degree or equivalent in electrical/control systems Engineering
- Chartered status preferred
- Design experience of electrical systems preferably within the nuclear industry in particular
- Experience of supervision of consultants and design houses
