The Role:
Purpose:
The purpose of the Engineering organization comprises the following key aspects:
• Provide technical assurance to the company that design, construction and commissioning of projects and plant changes are implemented according to appropriate technical standards, including RoK mandatory standards.
• Support the delivery of all projects and plant changes , covering all offshore and onshore plant, facilities and infrastructure.
• Manage an engineering service, which delivers solutions for the customers (Project and Asset Managers) that meet key business goals such as asset integrity, availability, reliability and product quality.
• Ensure a structured approach to transfer knowledge from expatriate staff to national staff.

The Senior Electrical Engineer provides expertise on all aspects of Electrical Engineering .
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
• Assures technical integrity of installations throughout their life cycle. This includes responsibilities for the Technical Authority 2 (TA2) role for the Electrical Engineering discipline:
o Ensures all deliverables produced by/for the disciplines as defined in the respective Controls and Assurance Plans (PCAP or ACAL) comply with the approved Codes & Standards.
o Reviews and approves business critical deliverables requiring TA-2 authorisation appropriate to their discipline
o Participates in technical audits of contractor deliverables.
o As appropriate, recommends and justifies deviations from the approved Codes & Standards to the TA-1.
o Reviews and assesses competency of contractor’s personnel within their Discipline.
• Exercises appropriate discipline controls for projects throughout the ORP phases (Identify, Assess, Select, Define, Execute)
• Provides Electrical Engineering support to Operation. This primarily involves providing discipline input as required into the commissioning / start-up of new or modified plant, the maintenance / operation of existing plant and requires an effective interface with the Operations organization for Process facilities and/or Asset Managers for Infrastructure facilities
• Contributes to review of the critical as-built documents and drawings related to the discipline for assets and for all projects.
• Plays a key coaching role for local staff in the skill pool
• Participates in HSSE reviews
• Participates in incident investigations as required
• Contributes to the development of Technology plan for the discipline
• Supports preparation of cost estimates and schedules to carry out Electrical work
• Prepares as required Electrical standards for TA1 review
• Evaluates Vendors/suppliers/contractors for Electrical services and equipment as required
• Continually seeks to improve ways of working to improve performance and to improve value delivery to projects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications & Experience:
• An engineering degree and minimum 12 years relevant engineering, maintenance and/or operations experience
• Recognised specialist in the global Electrical engineering skill pool
• Significant field experience gathered from a range of locations
• Ability to quickly establish relationships with practitioners to ensure discipline engineering processes and standards are consistently applied
• Good knowledge of International engineering standards, best practices, systems, and an established network to call upon and deploy this knowledge within Kashagan
• Aware of & familiar with issues surrounding high pressure and high H2S facilities
• Well proven interpersonal & communication skills
• Familiar and comfortable with working in an out-posted environment, with significantly different operating modes
• Experience of driving business improvement in engineering, key words being: technology, fit-for-purpose solutions and cost effectiveness
