The Role:
As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be a key member of a newly formed Operator Operations Team, in the Downstream LNG facilities within their Coal Seam Gas (CSG) LNG Project in Queensland. You will report to the Engineering Manager and play a pivotal role in the implementation of Operations Readiness activities in order to ensure capability is built into the Company LNG Operations team in time for Start-up.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the development of electrical philosophy regarding electrical safety, practices and procedures applicable to small project design, construction, commissioning, maintenance and operation of key equipment including;
o High Voltage Switchgear and Motor Control Centers with operating voltages ranging from 3.3 kV to 11 kV.
o Low Voltage Switchgear and Motor Control Centers with operating voltages ranging from 240 V to 690 V.
o Low Voltage and Extra Low Voltage Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and Battery Banks.
o Diesel and Gas Turbine Driven Generators.
o Induction Motors and Variable Speed Drives
o Computer Based Power System Management / Electrical Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems.
o Oiled Filled and Dry Type Transformers utilising both natural and forced cooling.
• Participates in development of Electrical Standards
• Monitors electrical technical and safety performance of operations and contractors while providing feedback and maintaining an open dialogue with stakeholders.
• Provides technical input to procurement strategies, contracting strategies, contracts review for technical accuracy/suitability and vendor selection for electrical equipment and services.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Engineering degree, Electrical
• Experience in dealing with capital projects up to $20mil
• Experience with uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and induction motors
• Power systems utilized in LNG/hydrocarbons, cryogenic, petro chemical, complex minerals / chemical processing power generation operations.
• Experience with low and medium and voltage power systems, adjustable speed drives, gas drive generators, hazardous locations and rotating equipment
• Distributed Control System (DCS) with gas turbine drivers for gas compression and/or power generation.
• Industry and regulatory Electrical design codes and standards
