The Role:
My client requires a Senior Electrical Engineer for a residential role in Port Hedland.

* Proven previous engineering experience in the design, installation, commissioning and testing of HV & LV switchgear and control system in a brownfields environment.
* Be well-versed in Australian Standards (Aust/NZ experience) and mining regulations relating to switchgear and substation design & installation.
* Be able to prepare feasibility studies for switchgear & control system replacement projects.
* Have an understanding of the control protocols utilised control systems for the control of switchgear.
* Have the experience and ability to work independently - be a 'self-starter'
* Good technical knowledge, skills and ability - and possess the ability to apply this knowledge and experience to achieve set objectives in a timely manner
* Excellent communication skills - the ability to work well within a team or autonomously
* Accountable and reliable

Requirements Within the relevant discipline:
(a) Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills in the relevant discipline, and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to WorleyParsons and its clients.
(b) A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the discipline, and the basic requirements of other disciplines.
(c) A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.


NOTE: This position is based in Port Hedland and local residents are preferred to apply (not FIFO)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience Required:

Approximately 8 years substantial technical and practical experience in the relevant discipline in the same or similar industry, including experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
