The Role:
Our client’s subsea R&D Controls team based in Aberdeen is responsible for the research and development of technologies and products for control and monitoring of subsea production system. They are currently developing the next generation of subsea control systems products and require talented and ambitious individuals with a background in either: Electrical, hydraulics & mechanical or software disciplines and with experience of product development or product life-cycle management.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer (R&D) - Product Line Management.
The ideal candidate will carry out the following:
Product ownership of the various products comprising of a subsea production control system.

Product life-cycle management of the product portfolio: New features, Upgrade solutions Obsolescence, EoL etc.

Engagement with tenders and technology innovation groups to progress product development opportunities through into the production environment.

Creation of Main Requirements Specification for new product developments, from sources such as : Internal/external stakeholders, systems group, tendering, business development, industry standards.

Ensure product releases are properly qualified, validated, documented and ready for general use

Assist with new product introduction into the project execution part of the business.

Assist with the development of technology strategies and product road maps to meet the market demand.

Assist with the development of business cases for development investment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
HNC or Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline: Electrical, Mechanical & Hydraulic or Software.
5 to 10 years industrial preferably within the Subsea controls sector.
Self-motivated and solution orientated.
Previous experience within a product life-cycle development role.
