The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.
In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Execution Stage.

The Role:
Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets at all times.
Establish an effective process for measuring and reporting HSE performance across the client Australia Business.
Development and maintenance of supporting documentation, tools, and IM&IT solutions for the Environmental of the Client @ Business and the Project HSE &Social Management System.
Support the implementation of the HSE Compliance Assurance system (audit and reporting)
Provide support, assurance and expert advice on all matters in order for client in Australia and the Ichthys Project to achieve HSE objectives.
Provide guidance and strategic advice to site based Environment persons.
Be the focal point in the design of the Project and Corporate Environment Risk (Envid and workshop) module within First Priority.
Assist in the design and provision of internal and external reports for government and non-government agencies e.g. Client in Tokyo, Joint Venture Partners, APPEA, CSR, and OGP.
Provide a quality assurance role for environmental components of the client incident reporting and investigation system, including review and approval of proposed remedial action plans for environmental events.
Lead development, maintenance and tracking of Corporate and Project Environmental KPIs and support preparation of environmental performance reports to meet internal, Government and public requirements
Lead and participate in HSE audits
Provide input into supporting business process and activities within client in Australia to ensure environmental requirements are adequately addressed
Demonstrate and encourage empathetic team work as a member of a culturally diverse organisation.
Work with colleagues to deliver integrated solutions to HSE risks and issues.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications.
BSc Degree or Higher in Environmental Discipline (essential)
ISO 14001 Lead Auditor qualification (desirable)
Incident Investigation and Analysis (Taproot or similar tool)
Minimum 10 years relevant experience (Mining/Oil and Gas) in Environmental Management of construction and operation of large scale projects.
Intermediate level of understanding of the project development process through to Operations
Experience in implementation of HSE Management Systems in a new project startup.
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to network effectively with diverse stakeholders
