The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Environmental Advisor to join the Health, Environment and Safety team which is based in the CBD. In this role your main responsibilities will include:

• Lead and supervise the approvals team in development of environment plans and oil spill plans (EP’s) in staged scopes and obtain approval by NOPSEMA or DMP in a timely manner
• Ensure effective interface within our clients business unit to more effectively develop Environmental Procedures.
• Coordinate resources adequate to meet timeframes for development of Environmental Procedures.
• Ensure Environmental Procedures are adequately rolled out and communicated.
• Ensure implementation of the Environmental Procedures as per the plans.
• Disseminate commitments and standards to the Environmental Contracts Coordinator for cascading onto the relevant Contractors.
• Ensure compliance tracking with Environmental Procedures.
• Ensure stakeholders (internal and external) are communicated with adequately during planning and development of Environmental Procedures.
• Liaise with DMP, NOPSEMA and DoT during development and implementation of the plans.
• Participate in the Behaviour Based Safety Programme
• Participate in IIF activities
• Support the Stop Work Authority (SWA) process

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
In order to be considered for this position you will have the following:

• A Tertiary Education.
• 5-10 years experience in a similar role within the Oil and Gas Industry
• Project management and/or development of Petroleum Regulator Environmental Procedures or other major primary approvals.

You will be an organised individual who is able to perform under pressure along with being a good leader and communicator.

This position is for a duration of 12 months, working a 9 hour day / 9 day fortnight.
