The Role:
- Our client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Scientist/Engineer with significant Approvals experience to join their Brisbane office to work on the Alpha Coal Project, a major coal pit to port project.
- Reporting to the Principal Environmental Manager on the project, they require you to provide environmental science/engineering, management and approvals services to various client contacts and internal employees.
- Key to this role will be your ability to deliver specific environmental approvals and environmental management services that meet the companies, its clients and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- You will also be required to initiate, manage and if required, supervise environmental assignments on projects that meet requirements on time and within budget.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- An Environmental engineering, environmental science or planning degree with extensive experience in the environmental sector.
- A sound knowledge of applicable local environmental approvals legislation and international standards and Queensland statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in the preparation of environmental approvals and supporting information for resource and infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge and practical understanding of field safety in order to undertake and manage staff, client expectations and projects.
- Comprehensive communication skills.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- A proven track record in developing and maintaining client relationships.
