The Company:
A major Global operator focusing on Exploration and Production operating in more than 110 countries and employing over 100,000 people. A leader in the Oil and Gas and Petrochemical Industries priding themselves in their innovation and Environmental/Energy Efficiency

The Role:
• Work within and help to advance Company EP Europe Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality policy
• Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract ESTIMATING
• Develop and maintain up-to-date Project Estimates for identified project scope and engineering deliverables reflecting complexity and priorities, incorporating changes, optimising resource availability and identifying material (long lead) constraints.
• Prepare all funding estimates for internal and Partner approval with input from budget holders.
• Perform uncertainty analysis and sensitivities on cost estimates, reflecting analysis of project risks.
• Ensure all estimates are prepared in accordance with the company estimating procedures.
• Review and assure all contractor estimates.
• Present the project estimate in all assurance reviews
• Develop detailed benchmarking data against historical performance, industry norms and any established KPIs.
• Work closely with the project planners and cost engineers to ensure consistency across the planning, estimating and cost deliverables.
• Develop scenario and ad-hoc estimates, as required GENERAL
• Provide input as appropriate to stage gate and corporate governance and assurance activity
• Attend Project VAR’s, ESARs, Peer Reviews and other meetings as required.
• Adhere to the requirements of Company Project Guides, and all related planning procedures.
• Where required, complete relevant information for corporate reporting tool.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum of 8 years Oil & Gas Industry Experience in lead estimator positions
• Experience of estimating for major projects, preferably in offshore construction.
• Qualifications: Degree/Diploma and/or Certification as a Cost Estimator or equivalent experience
• Fully versed with Cost Estimating principles, techniques and industry standard tools.
• Expert use of MS Office packages (specifically excel).
• Strong inter-personal, project management and technical skills
• Good team player but also self driven and a proven achiever
• Good communications skills (i.e. report writing and presentation) are essential
