The Role:
It is the general responsibility of the Senior Estimator to implement overall project Estimates and budgets; and to coordinate the project team’s risk management processes. In performing his/her duties the Senior Estimator will liaise closely with the Cost Analysts and Project Schedulers, the various project teams, and senior management.

•Assess prospect scope and main components to develop consistent ''building block'' estimates for each concept under consideration.
•Development of detailed project cost estimates inclusive of the Incorporation of project complexity factors, and with key input data such as project objectives, scope and economic analysis.
•Translate the identified project scope and engineering deliverables into the estimate of capital expenditure costs for design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning and start-up of the hardware elements.
•Perform uncertainty analysis and sensitivities on cost estimates, reflecting analysis of project risks.
•Manage reviews and audits of cost estimates.
•Formulate and validate methodologies for deriving quantities from design parameters.
•Experienced with development of capacity factored estimates and location factor adjustments.
•Utilise Technical, Economical, Commercial, Organisational & Political (TECOP) profile to establish appropriate deterministic cost contingency.
•Estimate composed of detailed MTOs matched with detailed pricing and construction unit hours.
•Incorporation of project actuals to date and detailed MTOs matched with detailed pricing and construction unit hours for to-go costs.
•Identify areas of uncertainty and apply appropriate allowances.
•Develop Estimate Basis to document how estimate was developed.
•Manage Estimating Data-Establish process to collect actual cost performance, condition and normalise data for future use, develop metrics and benchmarking information.
•Benchmark against historical performance, industry norms and established KPI's.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree -Technical or Business; Certification - Technical or Business qualification in finance, auditing, or accounting preferred, or relevant industry experience.

Minimum 7 years of experience in the oil industry in a professional capacity.
Minimum 5 years Estimating experience.
Prepared Estimates for deepwater oil and gas projects.
Ability to operate Questor, excel and or estimating software.
Setting up Estimate, code of accounts processes and reporting.
