The Role:
To monitor, control, and supervise the geophysical activities of foreign oil companies working in Qatar. To liaise on issues concerning geophysics between our Client and other organizations both in and outside of Qatar. This activity will relate primarily to EPSA concession with IOCs and their exploration work. It includes establishing required specifications for the supervision of the acquisition and processing of all geophysical data (seismic, gravity and magnetic surveys). A key responsibility is the interpretation of seismic data to monitor IOC studies and support marketing of open blocks. To act as the geophysical focal point for all assigned areas and help maintain archives in our Client's Exploration Record Data Center.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A B.Sc. degree in Geophysics or Geosciences and strong skills in standard computer software.
• Minimum of 15 years of oil and gas exploration/geophysics experience with a focus on seismic interpretation, preferably with a major oil company.
• Ability to use software applications in the pertinent field(s).
• Effective communication skills are required in order to supervise the exploration activities, and liaise between our Client and other internal/external organizations.
• This candidate will work under the supervision of the Head of Exploration Studies.
