The Company:
Our Client is one of the largest independent oil and gas exploration and production companies in Europe.

The Role:
Purpose:
Technical support associated with concept design and selection studies for field developments and take ownership for various documentation required for moving into Front End Engineering Design (FEED)
To provide facilities input to Field Development Plan (FDP)
To ensure facilities integrity through effective management of interfaces

Responsibilities:
Technical Expert and Advisor in respect of all facilities systems
Direct and quality assure the work of Contractors to ensure that the designs satisfy the EHS, technical, operational and project objectives. Lead design and value engineering reviews.
Prepare Basis of Design, Functional Specification and Scope of Work for subsequent engineering definition of facilities projects.
Participate in tendering for concept studies and FEED.
Liaison with all internal stakeholders as required to ensure technical robustness
Prepare for and participate in ‘stage gate’ value assurance reviews
Manage and collate the data required for Economic Input Deck requiring co-ordination of multidisciplinary input
Participate in Risk & Opportunities workshop and schedule reviews
Review and challenge execution and contracting strategies, schedule, capex and opex estimates.
Ensure “end to end” system integrity through effective management of the interfaces from process and facilities viewpoint

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience of E&P field or facilities engineering including specific Owner/Operator experience of concept, FEED and FDP. Process engineering background is preferred.

Experience in large scale onshore oil development with complex and multidimensional challenges to resolve (waxy crude, remote location, environmental & social constraints, etc).

Experience of ‘no frills’ frontier onshore development maximising the use of worldwide development analogues.

Familiar with technologies and cost/value drivers relating to fast track development, alternative project contracting and execution strategies, reservoir management and well engineering/drilling.

Demonstrable specific Facilities Engineering experience in Owner/Operator of e.g.:

Deciding processing functional split between wellpads, field and/or central processing facilities;

Flow assurance and field architecture

Oil, water and power management required by large number of development wells and fluid capacities
