The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:

This role within Sales and Marketing (S&M) Finance Team, is responsible for financial controlling, forecasting (short, medium and long term) and reporting of Bentley’s worldwide Aftersales performance.
The role is also responsible for monitoring and reporting of Warranty expenditure to the company’s senior management and OEM group.

To advise and challenge the Aftersales decision making processes, ensuring the financial implications of decisions are properly considered.

The role is a key position within S&M Finance and reports directly to the Head of Controlling S&M.

The role involves close involvement with colleagues at all levels within Aftersales including commercial, logistics, Supply/ Purchase, Service Operations and Product Launch teams.

Close liaison is also required with other departments including S&M Controlling, Central Planning, Quality and Regional Aftersales teams.

The position has one member of staff reporting to it.

Lead aftersales financial forecasting and budgeting (revenue, contribution, overheads, investment and inventory) processes including consolidation, presentation and reporting outputs to Aftersales Management and Finance teams together with proposals to improve performance.
Key Finance support to Aftersales teams including challenge and financial assessment together with identification of risks and opportunities to business performance.
Lead global Warranty spend accounting, forecasting and reporting processes including coordination of analysis by model to support understanding and decision making.
Controlling of Aftersales Overhead & Investment expenditure totalling c€25m p.a.
Lead development of robust financial control processes within Aftersales and Warranty ensuring adherence to company guidelines and financial standards.

The role requires a significant amount of business understanding and ability to challenge regarding volume plans, pricing and spend proposals with the ability to understand detail processes as well as high level business theories and their related impacts. Authority to approve expenditure up to £50,000.

Qualified Accountant with a minimum of five years’ experience working in a finance environment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication with ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
Ability to work comfortably at detail and macro levels across different levels in the organisation.
Strong commercial awareness.
Good knowledge of core business systems and logics in particular SAP, Cognos and Excel.
Strong process awareness and leadership skills.
