The Company:
Our Client is involved in the international development and exploration of oil and natural gas, as well as managing gas and power, refining/petrochemicals and other midstream/downstream activities.

The Role:
To provide QPI with the professional accounting and financial support that contributes towards the achievement of the company’s strategic objectives. This includes advice and guidance on all aspects of accounting, financial, corporate governance, risk and control matters.

Responsibilities:

• Manage preparation of timely, fir for purpose and accurate and monthly/ Quarterly/ annual strategy financial results together with supporting analysis & management information.
• Supervise QPIs financial & Treasury activities ensuring that sufficient funds are in place to mee4t operational requirements.
• Manage an coordinate the accounting structure of the QPI group.
• Manage relationship with external and internal auditors, including contracting and review of services to meet QPI’s requirements.
• Develop, implement and maintain fit-for-purpose policies and procedures taking into account IFRS and other good business practises (e.g SoX) Ensure QPI staff are aware and compliant with these requirements.
• Actively liaise with QP Finance in order to facilitate the execution of Finance activities.
• Enhance the application and use of SAP, where possible, to maximise benefits to QPI.

Processes, Systems & Procedures:

The employee must have a through knowledge of procurement policies as well as procedural and other company policies that would allow him/her to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Develop and maintain a culture to attract and retain staff in a constrained marketplace. Affinity with mentoring and coaching of staff from various cultures in different locations is essential. Respect for people and their diversity of backgrounds, ideas and contributions. Interpersonal skills and the sensitivity to cultural diversity issues will be prime requirement for success in this job.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Recognised Professional Accountancy qualification, preferably ACA/ACCA.
Up to 5 years post qualification experience with proven exposure to the preparation of statutory financial statements.
Understanding of IFRS standards and their application.
Knowledge and experience of SAP.
