External Description:
My client is an indirect subsidiary of a Fortune 500 energy services holding company based in San Diego, California. They lead initiatives to develop, construct and operate liquefied natural gas (LNG) regasification terminals and natural gas liquefaction facilities. Since 2004, they have developed two LNG regasification terminals and a natural gas liquefaction export facility. My client also manages 3.7 Mtpa of LNG supply from Tangguh in Indonesia. My client also developed one of the first liquefaction facilities in the U.S.

The Senior Financial Analyst provides financial and economic analyses including non-routine financial, economic & risk analyses & long-range planning initiatives. Ability to understand, develop and explain complicated financial models. Provide support in analyzing financial impact of major business issues. The successful candidate must be a team player and have the ability to manage different projects simultaneously. The individual will also have strong corporate finance background, excellent analytical, financial modeling, and communication and presentation skills.

•Assist in analyses in areas such as operations & valuation analysis, and budget forecasts. Prepare analyses of financial and operational data to assist commercial, engineering, and asset management department. Support the development of assumptions.
• Perform investment analyses & other special projects & studies generally requiring an intermediate to advance level of sophistication & knowledge of LNG & capital markets. Will require some self-learning of LNG markets.
•Perform complex economic research & studies.
•Performs other duties as assigned

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
External Qualifications:

•BS/BA degree in finance, or related business administration. MBA is required, preferably in Finance.
•5+ years of related financial analysis experience preferably within a corporate treasury or investment banking environment. Energy-industry experience preferred.
•Team Player, multitasking and responding rapidly to frequent changes.
•Requires a thorough knowledge of Corporate Finance especially Capital Budgeting, Business Valuation, and financial modeling.
•Fundamental understanding of GAAP, taxation, and economics concepts
•Proficient knowledge of Excel and Power Point.
•Ability to quickly familiarize oneself with industry fundamentals.
•Ability to organize, write & deliver concise, focused & persuasive presentations or verbal reports with ease
•Ability to interact with all levels of management in a professional and team-building manner
•Must be organized.
