The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 30 Countries worldwide.In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in Construction Stage.

The Role:
Assessing & evaluating various contractual claims and disputes (e.g. delay and disruption, extension of time) including forensic review of records
Interpreting or preparing complex planning analysis (eg Primavera P6)
Developing and assisting with implementation of claims resolution strategies
Assisting with claims avoidance and commercial risk management
Working closely with internal & external stakeholders and service providers to achieve desired outcomes
Preparing reports and advices
Conducting training and delivering presentations as required
Conducting all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times
Proactively contributing to corporate reviews, lessons learned libraries etc
Other associated duties required by Project and/or Legal Manager
Mentoring more junior personnel as required

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years claims/disputes resolution experience, preferably in the oil and gas or construction industries
Extensive experience with major project change, claims & disputes – e.g. especially scope change/growth, programme movement, delays and disruption, productivity issues, acceleration, extension of time and global claims
Experience in contract management activities, systems and processes coupled with a working knowledge of engineering & construction practices
LNG major project experience beneficial
Legal training and qualifications beneficial, especially construction and dispute resolution
Ability to identify, analyse and provide solutions to potential risks
Understanding of key construction trade disciplines
Experienced in contract and commercial management with knowledge of contract law
Experience with managing formal dispute resolution processes
Demonstrated ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team and interface effectively with relevant intern
