The Role:
The Department
The Exploration and Development department is a matrix organisation, in which staff work in integrated asset teams (consisting of geologists, geophysicist and reservoir engineers), and report to asset leaders as part of their position and to the heads of their respective disciplines on a professional basis (geology, geophysics, reservoir engineering). Petrophysics provide technical support to the asset teams.

The Asset Team
An asset team is responsible for the subsurface activities involving its asset. They cover all the evaluation work that is required for the optimum production of the fields, surveying the exploration potential, presenting proposals for the exploration and / or production wells and workovers, and the preparation of field development plans, amongst other things. For this purpose the asset team analyses all relevant information and conducts operations to collect assess and process that data. In addition, an asset team records and analyses the operations department on the performance of production related activities. An asset team advises the commercial department on gas contract negotiations, unitisation and balancing.

Responsibilities
• Interpreting seismic data using the latest technologies.
• Perform specialist seismic studies like quantitative rock physic techniques.
• Assisting with or the quality control of seismic data processing (or reprocessing) and/or acquisition.
• Building velocity models for time-depth conversion.
• Preparing structural models, combining geophysical and geological data.
• Contribute to well proposals, Field Development Plans, prospect evaluations and reserve reviews.
• Presenting projects internally, to head office and Partners.
• Assessing, testing

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A MSc degree in geophysics
• Ideally at least 10+ years experience in the E&P business.
• Experienced Geophysicist with working knowledge of quantitative rock physics, depth migration, inversion, amplitude
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated and a team player with a flexible job attitude.
• Excellent working knowledge of the Dutch and English language.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Due to EU visa restrictions it is preferable that you have the right to live and work in the EU.
