The Company:
Our Client is an International Company involved in the supply of Energy globally. Their Operations cover Exploration, Production and Downstream and at present they have projects in over 25 Countries worldwide.

In Australia they are involved in one of the Country's largest LNG Projects, including both Gas and Condensate which is currently in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) Stage.

The Role:
As the Senior Geophysicist you will undertake petroleum exploration activities as a geophysical member of the Exploration team, developing the Company's exploration portfolio, and providing geophysical support for seismic operations and related drilling projects.

• An up-to-date appreciation of the latest geophysical and geological techniques, with a high level of skill in geophysical interpretation, interpretation and mapping software, reporting and data recording systems.
• Geophysical interpretation and evaluation Browse Basin geology, and other basins as required, with a focus on the generation and development of exploration plays, leads and prospects for drilling.
• Preparation of predrill/postdrill geophysical documentation and data analysis; provision of support and monitoring of geophysical aspects during seismic and drilling operations.
• Evaluate potential new venture opportunities as required: attend data reviews, provide reports, analyses and advice to the Exploration Manager.
• Support and input as required into new acquisition and reprocessing projects.
• Attend Operated and non-operated Joint Venture meetings as required, with report and advice the Manager of Geophysics and/or Exploration Manager.
• Contribute to the creation and peer reviewing of initiatives and projects underway in the Exploration team.
• Plan, lead and supervise geophysical studies by external contractors.
• Prepare geophysical documents and reports.
• Compile presentations and contribute to discussions with the Government and Joint Ventures.
• Preparation of technical submissions and applications, to Company management, to the Joint Ventures and to the Joint Authority.
• Provide advice and assistance on to the Manager Geophysics and/or Exploration Manager on regional strategy, permit strategy and permit management matters.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the structure and systems within, and the ethos of, the Exploration team.
• Provide mentoring of junior geophysicists and other staff.
• Assist the Manager Geophysics and Exploration Manager in designing implementing and managing budgets and work programs for each project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science (Geophysics) or similar related geoscience degree.
• Min. 12 - 15 years in the petroleum exploration industry.
• Expertise in the appropriate earth science and petroleum exploration analysis and interpretation software applications.
• Ability to understand and integrate data from a variety of geoscience disciplines.
