The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Geophysicist to act as the geoscience lead. The individual will be part of an integrated subsurface, wells and facilities team tasked with bringing the project to first oil and up to plateau production.

lead interpretation of the current 3D high resolution seismic survey and any future re-processed products of Marte
support mapping of reservoir architecture and build understanding in seismic rock properties for the determination of net pay and reservoir connectivity in 3D geological models
investigate the likely static controls on reservoir connectivity and to ensure the key subsurface scenarios are accounted for prior to the start up of drilling
provide key input to planning the 11 well development drilling programme and associated data acquisition progamme
provide support to 4D lead
provide appropriate oversight and management to other 3rd party technical work
mentor and coach less experienced Angolan nationals and support development of in-country geocscience competency and expertise appropriate.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential Criteria and Qualifications:
- BSc in Geology, Earth Sciences or related sciences.
- A depth of knowledge in 3D seismic interpretation and reservoir mapping.
- Knowledge and experience of 4D seismic as a surveillance tool
- A good understanding of deepwater turbidite sedimentology & stratigraphy
- Experience of rock property modelling and working in AVO driven plays
- Strong interpersonal, communication and diversity skills
- Strong Health, Safety and Environmental focus and commitment
- Self motivated and able to work both independently and as a good team player

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Desirable Criteria and Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the principals of reservoir engineering and reservoir simulation.
- Some experience of geological modelling applications
- Some experience of well planning, well data acquisition and well operations.
- Some knowledge of salt related structural geology and fault related compartmentalization.
- Familiarity with rock property analysis is a plus.
