The Role:
Overview:
- Due to an increasing workload within their Geomatics Group, they are seeking the services of multiple Senior GIS Analysts for their Brisbane office
- Reporting to the Lead Geospatial Analyst, these roles will complement and support the existing members within the team

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Provide GIS team leadership
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with GIS staff, peers, management, internal and external customers
- Analyse requirements, cost, design, develop, maintain and implement effective QA/QC processes for all GIS deliverables
- Provide high-level expertise in spatial data administration, cartography and spatial data analysis
- Demonstrate proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS and MapInfo Professional GIS software
- Demonstrate a high attention to detail with regard to QA/QC across all GIS business processes

- May give technical guidance to one or more junior staff, summer staff, etc. assigned to work on small and medium-sized projects
- May routinely supervise a small number (3-4) junior staff and/or be called upon regarding selection, training, discipline, performance evaluation, and remuneration of staff

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in GIS or related discipline, or equivalent years experience
- Significant experience in the Geomatics industry
- Proven ability and experience in the use of geospatial techniques in relation to the extraction, analysis, interpretation and presentation of geospatial data
- Familiarity with CAD data, graphics software, database development and SQL
- Proven ability to analyse, interpret and present geospatial data to meet client requirements
- Proven ability in providing high quality, comprehensive client service and establishing effective working relationships to communicate, consult and negotiate with individuals and groups at all levels and backgrounds through sound communication, teamwork and liaison skills

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Extensive ability and knowledge of MapInfo and/or ESRI software
- Experience in leadership and/or supervisory role
