The Role:
Job Description: The Platform Realignment and Optimization (PRO+) program is an effort aimed at ensuring our GOM Shelf surface facilities are available to capture remaining economic resources (> 20 years) by addressing aging infrastructure and evaluating field-wide optimization opportunities. The MP 299/144 field, located approximately 40 miles offshore southeast Louisiana in approximately 200 feet of water, is the first of a series of fields to undergo a systematic review under this PRO+ program. Key Job Responsibilities: The HES Specialist will be assigned to Main Pass 299 / 144, and will be located with the project team in the FEED offices in Metairie, LA. The HES Specialist will report to the HES Team Lead - GOM MCPs, and will be responsible for project OE/HES activities required for Phase 3 and Phase 4. The role will also facilitate required training, interface with the Environmental group, assist with IIF activities, and participate in all project Process Safety and Risk Managment reviews. The appropriate candidate will have field experience, and a high level understanding of HES Managment requirements.
Education: A Degree in Engineering or Physical Science is required. CSP and/or CIH Certifications preferred.
Experience: 10+ years in oil and gas Understanding of early phase projects, pre-FEED, FEED, HES Contract Exhibits, EPCI, etc. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization, including the development of presentations using Microsoft Office Suite Experience with: - Behavior Based Safety systems, - Medical Services Plan, - Fit for Duty Plan, - Hazard Communication Plan, - Repetitive Stress Injury Prevention (RSIP) Program, - Motor Vehicle Safety Program, - Office Safety, - Personal Protective Equipment. High-level competency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Skills: Project work with multiple majors in a HES Supervisor role Process Safety and Risk Management experience: Development of detailed HES Risk Assessments (Safety Studies) in accordance with HES Risk Management Plan - to include advising Project Team of ways to improve the design Ability to ensure HES risks are identified and properly mitigated through implementation of the Risk Mgt process to include IHAZIDs, HAZOPs and QRAs, as well as industry best practice risk management processes and methods. Perform design optimization reviews, HAZOP/SOA,SID and advise other members of the project team of ways to improve the design
