The Role:
REPORTS TO: Manager – Benefits and Special Projects

DEPARTMENT: HR

LOCATION: Dubai Office

BASIC FUNCTION: Planning and execution of HR Projects, particular emphasis is given to projects that require thorough analysis of data and logical thinking to interpret the findings in a way that makes the data relevant for the success of the project and our client.

DUTIES:
Project Activities
The role of a Senior HR Analyst is to support the HR Manager with any and all activities that are being undertaken at any given time to plan, coordinate and execute various HR projects.
This person will assist with the:
• Development of project plans for various HR initiatives, incl. but not limited to:
o the development of an approach to plan and execute a project
o development of documentation to plan, coordinate and execute projects
o identify resource needs and develop resource plans to executive various projects
o development of presentations to communicate project set up and progress to Management

• Coordination of various projects for various HR initiatives, incl. but not limited to:
o organize meetings
o capturing notes and action items during meetings
o instructing and following up with project resources to perform actions items as required
o identify potential roadblocks ahead of time and explore and develop mitigation plans
• Execution of project plans for various HR initiatives by drafting documents as required, e.g. process maps, communication materials, policy documents, requests for proposals for third party support etc. under the supervision of the HR Manager

Analytical Activities
In addition to the project coordination role, the Senior HR Analyst is expected to obtain, analyse and process information in order to facilitate decision taking for Management.
These activities include but are not limited to:
• developing assessment frameworks to evaluate information (e.g. workforce analytics, vendors request for proposals etc.
• performing cost / benefit analysis
• creating tools using Microsoft excel to simulate various scenarios using reasonable assumptions
• creating presentations to summarize findings, conclusions and recommendations to Management
• In addition to the generic functions outlined above, the person will be expected to manage the global headcount reporting of our client. That includes analysing workforce changes and trends (such as attrition, demographics, employee status etc.) and reporting them to the VP HR and the Corporate HR Managers. This includes pointing out key developments, risk and opportunities as well as proposing actions to optimize the composition of our workforce.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
University degree, ideally in business administration with focus on HR

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an HR department, preferably as HR consultant. Experience with the offshore drilling industry would be preferable.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Use of logical analysis. Must think through and solve problems step by step; looking beyond the
obvious solution to a problem and digging deeper for the best solution. Strength in identifying and setting priorities.
Ability to excel under demanding time constraints with the ability to handle multi-tasks simultaneously. Ability to work
with highly sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality. Job requires employee to communicate well with
people at different job levels and frequently sharing information with others while listening to and understanding other
points of view. Ability to actively listen and objectively interpret data and information required.
