The Company:
Our client, an E&P oil & gas operator requires a Senior HSE Advisor to join their office in London to support operations, drilling and the E&P Business Unit.

The Role:
Based in the office and reporting to the UK HSE Manager E&P the Senior HSE Advisor is responsible for providing proactive HSE advice and support to Operations, Drilling and Projects and E&P business units as required. With a strong emphasis on supporting a producing platform in the North Sea, the suitable candidate will have 10 years + operational HSE experience with a minimum of 5 years recent North Sea experience. Up to date knowledge of North Sea safety standards and codes is essential for this role. New drilling and exploration projects are in constant need of HSE support from planning and permitting consents and active drilling.

The Senior HSE Advisor will be responsible for:

Updating, developing, improving and promoting the HSE Management System.
Focal point for Regulatory Authorities and the positive management of these relationships.
Ensure that all consents, plans, notifications, consents and authorisations are in place and valid.
Assisting the UK HSE Manager E&P with provision of support to the broader BU and other MU’s.
The delivery of presentations and training as required.
Management of HSE expert contractors for specific work scopes.
Liaison with contractors and consultants to ensure statutory compliance is achieved.
Provide leadership and expertise to emergency response teams, processes and contingency management.
Drive HSE excellence through the BU and use expertise and influencing skills to achieve HSE excellence
Provide positive mentoring to HSE advisors, peers and throughout the business unit.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• NEBOSH Diploma or competent equivalent
• Membership of IOSH
• Relevant bachelors degree
• International and recent N S E&P experience
• HSEQ Management system development and maintenance to international standards
• A proven career HSEQ professional
• +10 years relevant experience, with an emphasis on well operations within the UKCS

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Southern North Sea experience.
Previous experience of working for an operator.
West of Shetland experience.
North African experience.
Drilling experience
