Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior HSE Drilling and completions specialist to be accountable for all EHS matters, practical and administrative, relating to at-site drilling and completions operations, including any well intervention operation or civil works, during the exploration phase of Client operations in the Paris Basin. This role also provides administrative and technical EHS services and support to Client Global Drilling and Completions (GDC) in the development, application and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health and Safety Management.
The position will be based in the field east of Paris with work and meetings in Clients Paris Headquarters as required.
Responsibilities
Ensure practical implementation of all Client EHS directives and Client Rules at work sites where Client may have drilling-related activities from initial civil works on pads to drilling, completing and producing wells.
Provide EHS support to Client and work projects as needed. The successful applicant will work directly with the Client Drilling Manager and will also be responsible for the hiring and supervision of contractor EHS Rig Specialists at each well location
EHS Drilling Support
Provide visible EHS support to Client GDC Operations. Visit the rigs on a frequent and regular schedule to develop a relationship with the crews and to assist them in recognizing and minimizing potential hazards.
Provide support and technical advise to EHS Rig Specialist.
Hazard and Risk Management and Compliance
Assure Risk Management / Assessments are implemented and effective in accordance with Client E&P and Global Drilling and Completions Risk Management Key Process.
Assure compliance with legislative and corporate policies through application of regulations, Client EHS Management System, the GDC Minimum Standards, Environmental Compliance, permitting, induction process and Management of Change procedure.
Training
Assist in EHS Training as needed by operations, Tap Root, Synergy, etc.
Assist with the presentation of the Client Quarterly EHS Meetings and the Client Drill Rig Safety Meetings on a periodic basis
Conduct GD EHS Orientation as needed for GDC new hires both Client staff and consultants
Contractor Management
Conduct EHS Reviews of potential and existing Drilling Contractors and service companies
Assist with contractor safety management process and the roll-out of Client policies and Client Rules to the contractor, and follow-up with practical implementation and monitoring.
Develop and manage the EHS Way Forward Plan and Project Line Action Items for all new drill programs to ensure EHS regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements are in place as required by Client and regulatory agencies
Emergency Preparedness

Assure that the emergency response program at the well location is in place and functioning
Incident Reporting and Investigation
Manage the Client Synergy Database by reviewing all incidents reported for GDC, ensuring investigations are completed as required, action items are applicable and completed as planned
Review EHS performance of Drilling Operations on a routine basis and develop and communicate EHS Trending and Improvement Reporting
Monitor implementation and completion of corrective actions
Lead Investigation as per root cause process.
Auditing/Inspections (Advise, Audit, Verify)
Routine EHS visits to each rig to meet with rig crews and review EHS compliance, safety, environmental, health and other improvement areas
Conduct a Client Annual Global Drilling EHS Audit with Drilling Manger and EHS Manager on each rig
Conduct verification reviews of the Drilling EHS Management System and EHS Bridging Documents using the Client Verification Checklists for those documents. Identify gaps and develop and complete action plan as needed.
Skills / Competencies:
Working knowledge of EHS Management Systems, OSHA, and other applicable regulations to drilling industry, MASE , ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 Standard, Consigne de securité forage, French regulations such as Plan de Prevention,
Strong written, verbal and PC skills (Office Suite).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 plus years working knowledge and experience in E&P field operations, land based and offshore drilling operations.
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline is preferred
Fluent in English language. A knowledge of French is preferred.
