The Role:
Our Client is currently recruiting for a Senior HSE Manager with significant Oil & Gas or Petrochemical experience to provide site-based leadership and support and ensure efficient HSES management. This is a PMC role managing HSES on one of the three main EPC packages on the project.

Project Summary:

Implementing a major project, which comprises the upgrade of two existing refineries. The Clean Fuels Project is a major upgrade and expansion of the existing Mina Al-Ahmadi (MAA) and Mina Abdullah (MAB) refineries. The objective is to increase the overall throughput by 264,000 bpsd to 800,000 bpsd and to increase conversion of fuel oil to higher value products to meet expected market demand and specs for low sulphur content transport fuels. The overall project value is approximately 14-15 billion US dollars.

Responsibilities:
• Provide the leadership and support necessary to ensure efficient Health, Safety, Environmental and Security (HSES) management. The main aim being to create secure, safe and healthy working conditions throughout the site, while protecting the environment during both, construction and commissioning operations
• Manage the duties and controls detailed by the Site HSES Plan, pertaining to health, safety, the environment and security requirements and ensure continuous compliance
• Have an advanced level understanding of the requirements of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001, and ensure sites are managed to these standards

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• 15 years experience in HSE within an Oil, Gas or Petrochemical construction environment
• 5 years experience in a similar role
• 25 years industrial experience
• Strong leadership skills
• Willingness to travel and be flexible is essential
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A degree in a relevant technical discipline is essential
