The Role:
MAIN JOB FUNCTION:
•To ensure that management systems, policies and standards are in place throughout the Company to comply with all relevant requirements and regulations and Stakeholders expectations.
•To ensure the continuous improvement of the Company HSE performances.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
•To ensure compliance with the applicable HSE legislation.
•To set HSE standards, HSE goals and KPI’s for the Company which meet the requirements and expectations of the Shareholders.
•To support Company in a) developing/adopting risk assessment methodologies and processes; b) promotion/organization of risk awareness training sessions, workshops and brainstorming sessions; c) monitoring interpret and assist complying with technical norms related to risk management (e.g. area classification, pressure equipment, explosion proof installations etc.); d) defining and evaluating significance of risk scenarios for emergency planning.
•To ensure the development and application of the HSE Integrated Management System.
•To Define/develop and facilitate implementation of required HSE plans (e.g. Environmental and socio-economic impact assessments, environmental management plans, waste and chemicals management plans, oil spill prevention and response plans, safety management plans, health management plans, fire response, medical response, crisis management, process safety management, fire prevention plans, etc).
•To implement and ensure compliance with the company’s HSE IMS objectives and targets
•To Prepare necessary project budget and schedule input in areas of health, safety, environment and socio-economics.
•To define and organise proper recording and storage of all HSE records and statistics, such as Risks Register, KPI’s, Incidents/Accidents/Non conformities and report and disseminate them to all interested parties as appropriate.
•To provide advice on the HSE organization and on the necessary resources needed.
•To ensure the management a continuous improvement of the professional HSE, ensuring adequate training and development of the workforce.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Degree in Biological/Chemical sciences, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering or related fields required
•Fluent English
•Extensive years of experience working with international HSE standards, codes and practices including the country’s HSE experience.
•Experience in interpreting and implementing environmental and other laws/regulations in the international oil and gas industry.
•Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment and with large and diversified groups of people of different countries.
•Demonstrated interpersonal/team building skills .
•Strong written and oral communication skills.
•Extensive years of experience in the oil & gas industry, mainly in the upstream activities and in particular in development projects (drilling, construction, commissioning) and production.
•Experience managing HSE at a senior level.
