The Company:
A Nuclear Industry Specialist, covering both civilian and defence sectors, with projects working across the complete lifecycle from new build, through operations and maintenance, to final decommissioning and waste management.

The Role:
The Senior HVAC/Building Services Engineer will be responsible for delivering the design with frequent liaison/management of engineers within the design team for the project. The Senior HVAC/Building Services Engineer also provides relevant technical guidance and imparts knowledge to Lead Engineers, Design engineers, Graduates and Designers within their discipline.

As a Senior HVAC/Building Services Engineer your main duties will involve:

• Developing designs to satisfy all project technical specifications.
• Reviewing design calculations of the designers and other engineers within the team.
• Leading technical design reviews and technical safety reviews (risk assessments/ HAZOP’s).
• Liaising with the client and project team to prepare technical specifications for the design.
• Ensure the quality and delivery of all design documentation throughout the design process comply with design standards, safety legislation/regulatory requirements and the needs of the client
• Managing all installation, commissioning and operating documentation.
• Allocating work throughout the team members in order to ensure delivery of design, quality, time and budget.
• Oversee the selection, strategy and management of work to sub-contractors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• A Degree qualification in a relevant technical/engineering.
• Demonstrable competence gained in design project delivery.
• Experience in the nuclear sector is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to demonstrate experience gained in a design delivery role ideally from a highly regulated industry such as the Defence, Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Water or Food industry sectors.
• Experience of designing ventilation, filtration and atmospheric control systems is ideal. This could be gained from but is not limited to glove box technology, management of particulate, dust or explosive environments
• Ability to lead a technical team within a professional project delivery environment.
