The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide.

The Role:
Qualified to Chartered Engineer status or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, you will have with at significant experience in design, repair, maintenance or inspection of major pressure plant. As a Senior Inspection Engineer you provide technical support to our inspection team. This will include authorising dispensations from the normal practice relating to the registration, examination and testing of Registered Pressure Equipment. You will be expected to manage your own workload, interact with clients and be responsible for timely completion of assignments.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Providing authoritative advice on inspection technology and legislation to clients and members of the inspection team
- Leading teams of Engineers reviewing inspection practice using risk based and traditional techniques
- Assessing technical information to judge whether equipment is fit for service
- Failure investigation
- Representing Client at all levels to win new business
- Contract management

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A full UK driving licence is required and you must be willing to work away from home as some of your duties will require working away on client sites.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Working with high hazard plant in the oil and gas or chemical sectors.
- Pressure Vessel and/ or Piping design experience
- Knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of NDT techniques
- Corrosion management experience
- Experience within a UKAS approved Inspection Authority as a Category 1 Engineer
