The Role:
The Senior Inspector is responsible for:

• Providing quality control services for the Jacket and Piles Construction Site
• Supervision of quality control inspectors

Duties include

• Promotion of Company 10 Golden Rules Safety principles
• To work in accordance with the Company’s project management system
• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant Regulations, Codes, Standards and Procedures
• Supervision of inspectors including allocating inspection surveillance routines
• Attend meetings and report progress status to the line and function reporting lines on a daily basis
• Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant engineering technology & Codes and Standards
• Liaise with other disciplines, departments, project personnel and contractors and subcontractors.
• Review and approve Contactor inspectors qualifications and certification
• Monitor Contractor and Sub Contractor quality performance
• Carry out the specific Quality Surveillance activities as detailed in the Project Quality Surveillance Plan Procedure and support audit and review activities
• Review of NDE records including radiographs
• Ensure contractors subcontractors and are working in accordance with the project procedures and specifications / data sheets
• Report on non conforming items including corrective and preventative action

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Recognised qualification in Engineering
• Should be able to read engineering and construction drawings
• Good communication skills
• Be certified as CSWIP Certified Senior Welding Inspector, or approved equivalent.
• Have knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 quality system requirements and implementation.
• Experience in the fabrication of jacket and piles for the UK Sector of The North Sea
• Have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes of International standards such as EEMUA, AWS, ISO, ASNT, NACE, API, ASME, NORSOK in the discipline of their expertise.
• Have experience on Major Construction Sites.
• Working knowledge of computerised systems and word processing and presentation packages.
