The Company:
Our client is an International Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company with operations in 16 countries, they have achieved spectacular growth in the past ten years, growth which they expect to continue.

There Southern North Sea (North) facility comprises both on and offshore natural gas production and processing facilities. They include 18 offshore producing gas platforms off the east coast of Yorkshire.

The Role:
The Instrument & Protective Systems Senior Engineer reports directly to the Engineering Superintendent and is a critical lead technical position in the Engineering team and wider SNSN organisation. The primary role of the Engineering team is to provide assurance and verification of our standards and policies. The Instrument & Protective Systems Senior Engineer will be the owner of relevant Technical Standards and associated Performance Standards, and provide expert technical advice to both ongoing Operations and Project Developments.

Specific Areas of focus include:

• Ownership, review and development of relevant technical standards
• Provide audit, coaching and mentoring across the asset
• Accountable for Instrument/Control Engineering discipline health across SNSN, including ownership of the competency framework within discipline
• Review and technical approval of Management of Change
• Supporting HAZOP/LOPA studies
• Leading our Alarm Management, Fire & Gas and Control/Safety System improvement plans

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Instrument or Control Engineering degree qualified with Chartered Engineering status.
Minimum 10 years experience in a lead Engineering role within an Operational facility, preferably with strong technical and operational knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry.
Self starting, proactive, planned approach to work, team working are all essential skills.
This is a full time office-based role with requirements to visit both the Dimlington gas terminal and offshore installation as required by the job.
