The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia.

The Role:
• Act as focal point for Instrument Commissioning-related issues, direct liaison with JV counterparts and embedded staff in the fabrication yards
• Champions safety behaviors, lives and believes the principles of an IIF workplace.
• Provide Instrument engineering expertise to assure all (pre) commissioning deliverables meet the required specifications and Quality standard expectations of Client and its Joint Venture Partners.
• Endorses procedures for the commissioning of complex Instrument equipment loops.
• Witnesses tests of power generation systems, large motors and large equipment packages.
• Coordinates and helps develop work list for Instrument commissioning activities.
• Monitors system one-lines and ensures data is accurate for handover.
• Recommends improvement initiatives both safety and technical and follows through within sphere of indirect influence to assure implementation.
• Liaise with Fabrication site teams to resolve issues relative to the commissioning of Instrument systems.
• Responsible for assuring the success of the EPCM contractor and for identifying and providing mitigations to any barriers to success within his discipline area.
•Develops tools and processes to provide visibility to ICT management of Instrument System issues mitigation plans and status.
•Recommends interventions where appropriate.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma qualifications in engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 10 years relevant, practical experience, including experience in working with/influencing EPCM contractors in executing commissioning activities
• Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards is desirable. Practical working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
• A strong working knowledge of Instrument systems is required as the construction, commissioning and operating activities will take place in remote environments.
• Fully competent in complex Instrument systems and facilities including Fieldbus.
• Completions management system: Win PCS or equivalent
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft office suite and Adobe Acrobat.
• Self motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Methodical, meticulous and pragmatic approach.
