The Company:
Our client is a Multinational Chemical company responsible for the Construction, Ownership and Operation of it's own Plants.

The Role:
The purpose of this job is to execute instrument and digital maintenance task in a safe, efficient and effective way according to the job package and per the schedule. Performs fault diagnosis and field repair by subassembly replacement or control loop tuning on real time plant process control systems. Installs and commissions new equipment.

1. Review the job package and check if work can be carried out safely and according to the job package.
2. Obtain the work permit.
3. Follows job plan to complete work and return equipment to operations.
4. Follow the Maintenance Work Process
5. Apply the skills of respective trade/craft/discipline in executing maintenance work
6. Reports the progress of the daily work to enable adjustments to the daily work schedule when needed.
7. If significant additional problems are identified during the job that may need a new work order, thoroughly investigate the source/cause of the problem and report to Sr. Instrument Technologist
8. Assist in the analysis to ensure the problem is corrected
9. Complete input for updating CMMS
10. Feedback information on job package quality and Root Cause Analysis data as required
11. Document/record job history
12. Assist in maintenance planning
13. Respond effectively to emergency fault conditions anywhere in assigned area, without assistance. Perform emergency field repairs.
14. Develop and implement maintenance and diagnostic procedures based on vendor technical information and manufacturer’s specifications.
15. Perform detailed functional tests on systems integrated from different vendors.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Two-year associate's degree in Instrument – Digital technology and 5-8 years of experience in an Instrument – Digital Technician role or 7-10 years related experience is required.

• Appropriate Maintenance contracts
• Safety, Environmental and Industrial Hygiene rules and regulations
• Job plan management
• Maintenance operating discipline including procedure development and usage
• Process equipment basics
• Engineering/pipe and equipment specs
• Planning and scheduling process
• Procurement process, including after hours.
• How to specify material and equipment needs
• Most effective maintenance technology
• Overtime policies
• Work documentation requirements
• Skills:
• Good organizational skills to keep many jobs moving simultaneously.
• High level of interpersonal skills and be able to communicate in an effective manner.
• Good computer skills and become proficient in the use of CMMS and pipe spec. systems.
• An understanding of the MWP is required
