The Role:
As the Senior Instrument Engineer, your basic Purpose of Job will be:
Based on the CNR, project, the position to be filled is primarily to assist the instrument focal point assigned to the a tie-back project with the delivery of the FEED studies and deliverables, and where required also provide assistance with discipline design checking on other minor project works. The study work shall involve a review to control systems, evaluation of existing instruments for re-use and preparation of reports and estimates related to the FEED study.

Main Duties:
The candidate shall be required to accept responsibility as job focal point engineer on projects deemed suitable for his/her control.

Duties shall include:

Involvement in Feed Study engineering type activities and the creation of engineering workpacks including the production of: engineering design narratives, instrument data sheets, equipment procurement documents and specifications.

Preparation of estimates, liaison with vendors and suppliers, attendance at witness testing and providing engineering support during site commissioning.

Contribute to the development of scopes of work from Basis Of Design documents.

Delivery of instrument scope including changes to scope, in accordance with project plans

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education & Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent in Controls & Electronic Engineering or related subject is preferred. Candidates with an HNC/HND qualification and necessary experience will also be considered for the position.

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Able and willing to travel to offshore UKNS assets as and when required

The candidate should possess a number of years similar North Sea oil and gas experience gained in a design environment with an engineering contractor or operator.

Personal Skills:
Demonstrate a competent level in both oral and written communication, and exercise skills necessary to co-ordinating work assigned to his/her/her control

Capable of interfacing with the client, having a positive ‘can do' attitude when dealing client's representatives.

He/she will perform all roles with the required integrity in line with company guidelines and ethics.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Proficient with use of Micros
