Our Client is an international energy service company with £5bn sales, employing more than 29,000 people worldwide and operating in 50 countries.
The group consists of 3 divisions being Engineering and Production Facilities, Well Support and Gas Turbine Services.
Our Client is an international leader in both marginal field developments, in life-of-field engineering and in production support.

The Role:
Basic Purpose of Job:
Verification of existing E+I designs and modifications to them, control of designers working for him and ensuring they are usefully employed.

Main Duties:
Control and give direction to CAD designers ensure that QA procedures are adhered to. Discuss problems with the client and determine possible solutions for implementation.

Attend project meetings and HAZOPS

Control of time expended on a project ensuring that project expenditure is not exceeded

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education & Qualifications:
•Preference is for Time served, Oil and Gas/Petrochem, HNC/HND Minimum plus relevant experience. Degree preferred
•Drawing packages, Autocad, Rastercad, Microstation, IrasB, Microsoft office packages.
•Electrical system design packages, Hevacomp, Amtech.

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
◦Proven ability in the design and implementation of E+I projects
◦A knowledge of electrical systems would be an advantage but the principal knowledge base shall be Instruments.
◦Understanding of offshore codes of practice, regulations and standards
◦Aware of current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
◦Competent with Hazardous area equipment & working with Atex and PED.


Personal Skills:
◦Oral communication, Personal organisation. Written communication.
◦Must be flexible and pro-active in approach to work within a small team.
◦Ability to explain clearly any work handed over and to listen to others suggestion
◦Able to work with designers
