The Company:
Our client is the largest gas producer in the Netherlands, with annual production of around 50 billion m³. 70 % of gas (37 billion m³) comes from the Groningen field and the rest from various smaller fields elsewhere on the mainland and in the North Sea (15 billion m³).

The Role:
Within the team there is a vacancy for a senior Instrumentation (C&A) engineer. The team is responsible for all kind of OPEX modification on gas treatment installations in the southern North Sea, . There are around 56 facilities (big and small ones) in the asset. With a number of pipeline systems either connecting to the gas plant in the UK or the gas plant in the NL. The client is a key supplier to the UK and NL gas market. The client produces 5% of the total UK and NL production fulfilling a significant portion of the local gas demand. Key dimensions for the asset (100%) are: 90 production fields; 56 offshore installations, 2 gas plants, 300+ wells; 8 production systems. The client is a joint venture, with an operating company. We have a multi-discipline team of approx. 35 engineers for all kind of OPEX modifications (mostly brown field modifications) and especially for the de-complexing of some production facilities approx 12 extra engineers. The expected budget expender of the projects will be approximately 20 million Euros’. The responsibility as an Instrumentation (C&A) engineer will be; Giving input/work on several OPEX modifications. For each modification we have a small team (one engineer of each discipline). The average time we have for the Asses and Select phase of a modification is around 10 weeks. Each engineer is in charge of 10 - 15 modifications at the same time. One of the key qualities of the engineers within our team are the ability/ skills of conceptual engineering and he/she needs to be a team player. Those 2 habits are key in the position of an Asses & Select engineer. As a discipline engineer you will have contact on a frequent basis with the Technical Authorities (responsible for the integrity of the equipment) of the Asset and with Operations. (The Asses and Select phase can be compared with the old Basic For Design phase).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The level of education we looking for is a BSc level or HTS+ Experience with the issues as shown below is a must have in this position • Extensive experience with computer systems (SCADA/DCS/PLC/Safety-applications), embedded software devices, operating systems and software development tools. • Extensive experience with computer applications: amongst others technical and engineering/utility programmers (editors, spreadsheet, • Knowledge of many different hardware/software configurations for both DCS/PLC and PC-controlled systems • Experience with the implementation of plant changes for the oil en gas production and processing plants and preparing of the essential control narratives • The use of Smart Plant Instrumentation • Knowledge of the LOPA analysis study according the TRA requirements, • HaZop study, provide details for SIF/SIL/SIS analysis. • Knowledge of Fire and Gas Systems • Compiling red mark-up drawings & technical information • Preparation of the RFC (Release for Construct

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
All our engineers must have a certificate of good held conditions essential for going offshore (especially for filed visits) Furthermore the team existing out engineers of different nationalities and religions.
