The Role:
This is a great opportunity to work as part of our Integrity & Fabric Maintenance team based in Great Yarmouth. You will have responsibility for managing corrosion inhibition, cathodic protection and pipeline modelling in support of pipeline and pressure systems integrity processes. This is a critical role where you will ensure pressure containing assets remain fit for purpose. You must be able to plan and organise your work, be a good communicator, self motivated and be an active team player. Whilst this role is office based there will be a requirement to travel offshore on occasions and to our site at Bacton.

Key responsibilities include:
• Responsibility for Corrosion Management System, it’s maintenance, update and execution of corrosion control strategies
• Act as a control authority in the Management of Change process (PMP) providing technical assurance to modifications
• Review, approve and advise on Technical Integrity Assurance Procedures and strategies
• Review inspection reports and Repair Orders/Fabric Maintenance recommendations and assist in the specification of Repair Orders and Fabric Maintenance recommendations
• Act as a Operations representative in the Bacton Interplant Forum of Cathodic Protection, attending scheduled meetings to execute joint strategies where Perenco involvement is required
• Carry out failure investigation and defect assessment by way of metallurgical analysis for structural, pressure systems and pipeline equipment failures involving corrosion, vibration, impact, stress manufacturing and over-pressure failure modes
• Responsible for maintaining pipeline corrosion models in accordance with Pipeline Integrity Management System and managing 6 monthly management meeting and issuing monthly corrosion control reports
• Produce Annual Summary Report for Corrosion management each year incorporating fit for purpose statements and traffic light indicators for each asset’s status
• Ensuring immediate recognition of defects and anomalies which represent a serious threat to safety/integrity and timely/appropriate communication, notification and advice to line management and operations staff

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Ideally at least 10 years experience within the Process/Petrochemicals Industry with 5 years experience in onshore/offshore oil and gas.
• Degree level qualified and chartered status (or equivalent)
• Relevant experience should include integrity and performance analysis and experience of managing a corrosion control system
