The Role:
The Senior Integrity Engineer is responsible for providing support on integrity of fixed equipment to the UK Production Unit operating sites. The role involves close working with colleagues in Engineering, Operations and HSE to deliver company and regulatory objectives for the management of integrity of fixed equipment.
The Senior Integrity Engineer shall act as the technical authority and provide integrity engineering support for UK Production Unit operating sites and will be responsible as the “System Custodian” for the Safety Critical Systems in his/her field of technical expertise as designated in the UKPU System Custodian Listing.
The Senior Integrity Engineer will assist in the management of integrity of fixed equipment, including pressure systems (piping and vessels), tanks, structures and pipelines. The role is focussed on operational support, particularly failure investigations, repair specifications and Management of Change (MOC) activities.

The Integrity Engineer will be working alongside two Integrity Engineers and an Integrity Management Contractor, with further technical support available from the functional team and external specialists.

1.Review of inspection reports requiring remedial works and specification of repair or fabric maintenance activities, in consultation with colleagues as required and technical progression of repair activities. This includes both permanent repairs, e.g. pipe spool replacement, and temporary repairs, e.g. wraps and clamps, in accordance with company policy on management of temporary repairs.
2.Coordinate the overall UKPU “System Custodian” system ensuring all related responsibilities are executed consistently and effectively. Accountable for performance of Safety Critical Element(s) for which s/he is System Custodian
3.Review of fixed equipment failures and progression of failure investigations and root cause analyses, with support from internal or external specialists as necessary.
4.Accountable for engineering, execution and progression of fixed equipment Management of Change (MOC) projects in accordance with company MOC procedures.
5.Provision of general technical advice on integrity of fixed equipment to the operating sites.
6.Attendance at operating sites when first-hand review of equipment integrity issues is required.
7.Accountable for performance of contracts for which s/he is Contract Sponsor
8.Develop, maintain and continually improve the integrity management & monitoring system for each facility
9.Coordinate inspection programs in accordance with facility procedures
10.Coordinate effective implementation of Technical Integrity processes and standards
11.Provide specialist engineering guidance and professional judgment in support of operations, maintenance and reliability projects
12.Participate in HAZAN/HAZID/HAZOP/Design Reviews and action status systems
13.Maintain a working knowledge of relevant international technical standards, codes and recommended practices, interpretations and analogues to assist in the operation and development of UKPU assets.
14.Develop and maintain networks and working relationships with key peers and colleagues in other facilities teams for purposes of information and information sharing
15.Develop core in-house Integrity Engineering skills and abilities to foster career growth and development

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Chartered Engineer or equivalent, or working towards chartership
Minimum Honours Degree, ideally Masters or Higher, in Mechanical/ Structural /Materials or similar discipline

Possess a working knowledge of mechanical design standards, relevant codes and recommended practices
