The Role:
The Lead Geologist will be working in an integrated development team and be responsible for geological evaluation and interpretation, including static model construction, in relation to field development planning. The Lead Geologist will also be expected to participate in farm-in and acquisition opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and enjoy working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities;
•Play a leading role in building the Production Development Department in Houston
•Coordinate geological evaluations for development and new business projects
•Help identify development opportunities
•Construct static models as input for dynamic models
•Quantify geologic uncertainties
•Support technical standards and workflows
•Proactively participate in evaluation of technical work performed in the Houston office
•Technical development and mentoring of less experienced geologists
•Interface with other disciplines

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•MSc. level or higher is preferred
•15+ years oil industry experience with significant exposure to field development planning in integrated teams
•Advanced static modelling skills (preferably Petrel) including integration of petrophysics, rock physics, quantitative seismic interpretation, depositional models and reservoir engineering information
•Knowledge of a range of structural regimes and depositional environments
